Notice of Appointments to the Valuation Tribunal
The Valuation Tribunal is an independent statutory body which hears appeals against decisions of the Commissioner of Valuation on the valuation and revaluation of commercial properties for rating purposes under the Valuation Act 2001 as amended by the Valuation (Amendment) Act 2015. It also hears appeals made by owners of derelict sites against the determination by local authorities of the market values of those sites under the Derelict Sites Act 1990.
The Minister has appointed from 1 May 2018 to 30 April 2023, three new members to the Valuation Tribunal

The candidates all applied for the positions via the Stateboards.ie website operated by the Public Appointments Service. The new appointees have significant knowledge of rating law to bring to the Valuation Tribunal.
This brings the number of members of the Valuation Tribunal to 28.
