Under the ‘supply and confidence’ arrangement between the Government and Fianna Fáil, the Government is committed to establishing an external advisory body to build public confidence in Irish Water. The external advisory body will advise the Government on measures to improve the transparency and accountability of Irish Water. It will publish its advice and give quarterly reports to an Oireachtas Committee on Irish Water’s performance in implementing its 2014-2021 business plan.
